V&A Innovate Teacher Talks (Autumn 2023)

These sessions will support you throughout the journey of taking part in the V&A Innovate programme, from initial planning and preparation through to submitting your students’ design ideas. 7 September 2023, 16.30 - 18.00
This session will be an introduction to the programme and will include: an introduction the V&A Innovate programme and resources; an introduction to this year’s themes, including a talk from V&A curators; talks from teachers about their experience delivering the programme; and a chance for group discussion and Q&A.

14 September 2023, 16.30 – 18.00
This session will focus on the ‘Collect’ research stage of the V&A Innovate design process and will include: an introduction to the V&A Innovate resources supporting research; how to introduce the themes using museum objects; presentations from teachers on how they have delivered the ‘Collect’ stage; and a chance for group discussion, troubleshooting and Q&A.

17 October 2023, 16.30 – 18.00
This session will focus on the ‘Make’ stage of the V&A Innovate design process and will include: an introduction to the V&A Innovate resources for this stage; presentations from teachers on how they have delivered the ‘Make’ stage; and a chance for group discussion, troubleshooting and Q&A.

14 November 2023, 16.30 – 18.00
This session will focus on the ‘Share’ stage of the design process and will include: an introduction to the V&A Innovate resources for this stage; presentations from teachers on how they have delivered ‘Share’; a reminder of how to enter your students’ ideas in January; and a chance for group discussion, troubleshooting and Q&A.
