The V&A is an outstanding showcase of High Renaissance Art. This study day gives you chance to explore the use of motifs and stories from pagan antiquity in Christian art of the 16th century.
V&A Academy Unlocked days invite you behind the scenes, bringing you face-to-face with the V&A's extraordinary collections. Experience stunning objects during a gallery tour to encounter V&A Collections highlights; join an object handling session led by Adriana Concin, V&A Assistant Curator of Paintings and Drawings; enjoy an introductory lecture with Q&A with Clare Ford-Wille, independent scholar.
This Unlocked study day is designed to complement the 12-week online autumn term course ‘European Art of the High Renaissance: Raphael to Dürer’ led by Kathy McLauchlan but you do not need to be enrolled on any online course to join an ‘Unlocked’ event.
