Handmade in New York, Michael Michaud’s eucalyptus earrings showcase the designer’s sensibility for nature. Michaud, whose practice combines nature and craftsmanship, works with real botanical elements that are cast in wax to ensure the design is hyper-realistic. In this instance, the eucalyptus leaf is recreated in bronze with a green patina. Highly textured, pair with Michaud’s eucalyptus bracelet to complete the look.

Michael Michaud

Creating moulds directly from nature, Michael Michaud’s exquisitely detailed pieces are made using a process similar to lost-wax casting, with actual plant matter encased, then heated and burnt away to form his moulds.

Michaud’s natural forms and textures are complimented with soft patinas on bronze, accented with pearls, beads, coral and stones.
