This collection features charmingly set freshwater pearls on delicate patinated bronze leaves of the myrtle and Irish thorn plants. Both botanicals have long been a source of inspiration and ornamentation.
The beginning of Greek Jewellery is traced back to the dawn of the Hellenic civilization. Jewellery has been linked to important moments in the Greek society and culture. The Artisans of Greek Ornamentation took inspiration from Myrtle, which the Greeks held sacred. Victors in the Olympic games and the mythological figures wore myrtle wreaths. The Myrtle's white flowers and lance shaped leaves serve as the inspiration for this elegant jewellery.
A firm favourite of V&A customers, Michael Michaud is renowned for his distinctive, original botanical inspired jewellery. This unique jewellery is made by creating moulds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting.

Michael Michaud
Creating moulds directly from nature, Michael Michaud’s exquisitely detailed pieces are made using a process similar to lost-wax casting, with actual plant matter encased, then heated and burnt away to form his moulds.
Michaud’s natural forms and textures are complimented with soft patinas on bronze, accented with pearls, beads, coral and stones.
