About the author and illustrator

Emily Sutton and Amy de la Haye

Amy de la Haye is a Rootstein Hopkins Professor of Dress History and Curatorship at London College of Fashion. She is the author of Chanel (V&A 2011) and the A to Z of Style (V&A 2011). Emily Sutton studied illustration at Edinburgh College of Art and Rhode Island School of Design. She has designed a range of fabrics for St Jude’s, which won Best British Pattern in the Elle Decoration British Design Awards 2011.
